NHDC is non-profit organization with the mission of promoting and providing affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate income households.

NHDC provides home purchase assistance to eligible first-time homebuyers to purchase homes throughout the North Central Florida region. Programs include Home Purchase Loans, Closing Cost Loans and HOME subsidy. Through these programs eligible first-time homebuyers may receive up to $15,000 in assistance. Repayment provisions vary by program.

Generally these programs are available to eligible households whose household income is no more than 100% of the Average Median Income established for our area. The amount of financial assistance will vary based on the specific size and income of the household. These guidelines change periodically and you would need to confirm the guidelines with the staff at NHDC.

If you feel you might be eligible for home purchase assistance through NHDC. Take time to complete the Personal Profile Intake Form will allow NHDC personnel to help you quickly and efficiently.

Some individuals or households that are eligible for assistance based on income may require participation in a credit repair program prior to being able to receive the home purchase assistance. NHDC offers a structured program to assist with such credit repair.
